working with sony fs7 and avid media composer

    hi
im working with footage shot with sony fs7
    25fps
    3840/2160 pixels
    1. what project should i open?
should it be 1080p/25 and then when i transcode mark frameflex?
    2. when i link the files to avid i get a D1 (data) track
what is this track? do i need it later for colorgrading? (wich will be done in a color grading software)
i've read that i need to unlink the files, modify them and uncheck the D1 track and only the trancode them. is that a good idea?
    thank you

Open an 1080p project if that's your final delivery.

Media Composer will read the metadata on the FS7 clips and apply necessary frameflex and LUT atributes when you use 'Source Browser' to link to the Clips' parent folders.
