    How to reinstate a Media Composer license

    From now until June 30, 2017, Customers with Media Composer v3.0 and higher can get back on track and purchase a reinstatement plan for upgrades & support.   

    Here is how!

    If you have let your Media Composer Support & Upgrade Plan expire, you will need to 'Reinstate' the Plan if you want to make it current again. This can be done easily through your Avid account. Or, you can purchase a ' Avid Media Composer Upgrade & Support Reinstatement plan” from an Avid reseller or distributor.

    To Reinstate Support & Upgrades in you’re MyAvid account: 

    1. Log into your Avid Account and click My Products and Subscriptions.

    2. Click the name of the product to display the product details. 

    3. Click the Reinstate Support link for the product you want to renew. This will show you the options you have to purchase.

    4. Select the Plan you want to purchase, and it will be highlighted in green. 

    5. Next, click the Add to Cart button. 

    6. Then you will see a Go to Cart button, which will take you to the online store when you click it. You can then complete the transaction at the online store. 

    7. After the purchase, your Support & Upgrade Plan will be active again, and the downloads will update to the latest version of Media Composer.

     

    To Reinstate Support & Upgrades with a ' Media Composer Upgrade and Support Reinstatement Plan' purchased from a reseller or distributor:

    1. Log into your Avid Account and click My Products and Subscriptions.

    2. Click the name of the product to display the product details.

    3. Click the Reinstate Support link for the product you want to renew.

    4. Enter the Code you received from the reseller or distributor into the field and click Submit.
