If you attempt to "Add Filler -- At Start" on a sequence that has Audio Insert Plug-ins, you get this error:
And then, of course it either does nothing or locks up for minute.
If you remove the Inserts, it magically ripples the entire timeline (because of the added filler) but does not ripple the track with the Insert.
FWIW my workaround to avoid any odd filler idiosyncrasies is yo have a Favorites bin with 2 minute clips of black with empty audio tracks at various resolutions. I name them 1 Black "resolution" so they load as the first clip in my Source monitor clip list. These black clips have become my go to for filler.
