    Rendering glitches Media Composer

Have read lots about the glitches some people are experiencing on latest avid versions with colour correction and GPU rendering enabled, however I now appear to be suffering the same when rendering matte keys over video.

You get bad frames of video every so often but only when using GPU rendering enabled.

I have checked the Avid matrix for the correct version of Nvidia driver for Media composer 8.7.2 and Win 10 but the version we are told to use wont install because it says its not compatable with Windows 10 !!

If I output a file from Media composer the file is fine, its simply the rendering on the timeline that suffers. I need timeline rendering especially if I play to tape in HD.

Interestingly rendering seems faster without the GPU anyway !

I spoke with Luc last week and they are working on the issue with the GPU but didnt squash it in time for 8.8.  My hope is 8.8.1 which I dont have a date for...

Just keep the GPU off for now and wait until it is fixed...

Do you know if the issue of Media composer appearing to crash on shut down when you have a Matrox external device connected such as the LE Max, been addressed to ?

I remember reading in the forums of users having this issue and indeed over the last couple of releases this is my experience too.

They havent updated the driver in a while ( Matrox ) but folks have been able to resolve by unplugging and plugging back in...

    try that
