ISIS 4.7.7 client install fails on OSX 10.11

Hi - brand new install of OSX El Cap on a Mac Pro, and the ISIS client installer (4.7.7) fails at the end of the process. It says "installation failed". Our Isis5000 is 4.5 but I haven't reach out to connect yet, so I think this is strictly an OS issue. Anyone have any tips?

I recommend you update the System Director to 4.7.11 and use the NEXIS client. Both can be found on the Avid Download Center. If you can't update the system director for some reason try the ISIS 4.7.11 client.

Do you have Administrator Privileges? Antivirus?

I tried the 4.7.11 client first, and that also failed on install. I did just manage to install 4.7.7 on a macbook (running OSX 10.11.6 - same as this tower). I do have admin priviledges and the firewall is turned off. Brand new OSX install to, on to a freshly formatted drive.

Just tried 4.7.11.16275 again and the error was "The installation encountered an error that causes the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance".

Seing as its a fresh install of OSX 10.11, I might just nuke it and go back to 10.10 and see if that works.

Have you run the ISIS uninstaller prior to installing the client? You should have to do this.

In Security & Privacy, what is "Allow apps downloaded from" set to?

    Try setting that to Anywhere.

It a brand new OS install, so there wasn't an uninstaller available. After it failed, one showed up, and wouldnt complete the uninstallation process without error.

Yes, privacy and & security is set to allow all apps. That's always the first thing I change on a clean install, after fixing the scroll direction ;)

Use AppCleaner and remove the client and try it again. It sounds like there's a permissions issue.

You can try to use Pacifist to do the install. It's a good idea to back up the system first. I've never heard of anything like this.

I used appcleaner after the first case of it not uninstalling - love that app by the way - I think I heard about it from you (thanks!)

I'll try pacifist to do the install, and if that's a no go, I nuke the box and instiall OSX 10.10 and try again
