    Connection with the DM is broken

    Does anyone around here know what the following error means?

    ERROR02/11/17 01:16:07diskhelpernexis01-topAvid NEXIS Disk Helper (pm): Connection with the DM is broken


    We get is about once every other day. Is seems to have no impact on our edit staff but seeing how it is logged as an Error I thought I'd look into. I'll try here before calling support as it's not critical.


    On a side note I thought that when an Error was logged I'd get an email from the server. I have that setup and the test emails work fine. I have the server set to email on Errors.

    This disconnect should not happen normally. The DiskHelper (DM) is showing a warning (not error) and is implemented in a way to reestablish the connection once it's broken.

    We'd need to look at the logs to diagnose the issue; could you call into support so they can collect logs? Considering the automatic reconnection, it might be harmless, but we'd like to take a look at the logs. [view my complete system specs]
