Hello,
I have a blank gap in the beginning of my sequence that is too long. i can't remember how to get rid of it.
Any help?
Thanks,
John
Select all tracks in the timelineMark In and Out around the length of blank you want to remove.Cut. Everything in your timeline will move forward.(You can change the timelines timecode afterwards if you need your sequence to start at a specific /preset time.)
and in Avid standard kb commands it could be T X

Hi Andrew,
As you can see, I can never seem to find time on MC. I tried your method (by cut do you mean the delete button?) and nothing happened. Somewhere along the way it becam out of sync by 8 frames. I'm also getting 'Are you sure you want to delete the selected tracks?' warning.

Ah! That's what he meant. Got it. Thank you. I need to spend more time on this program.

Easiest way to learn all the KB commands is to get yourself an editing keyboard with all the basic commands premarked on the buttons , I stlll have that old keyboard with the free Avid stickers that I got around 10 yers ago though on a spare editing system.
The F1 key wlll also help in many situations , Avid has a great help section also with great search functions.
But nothing beats editing , editing and editing of course , just don´t hope that your first project will be that 5 hours documentary that you have had in your brain for the last 5 or 10 years , small easy projects with basic titlers and easy edits might be what you want to begin with.
