AMA link creates different flavors of ProRes from same source material.

Been a while, but I'm officially stumped.  I point my trusty Avid bin to the QT source material created by my PIX220i and invoke the 'AMA Link' command. The files are there, ready to edit. Magic! But wait - the connected material shows TWO different kinds of QT in my newly-populated bin...  ProRes 422 and Apple ProRes (HD1080p)!

See the attached screengrab. Any thoughts?

So here's another reason why I'm a genius.  In my zeal, I pre-edited a couple of the clips in QT7 while I left others alone. This introduced certain flags that Avid used to link the media, causing some clips to be marked as Apple ProRes (1080p) and others simply ProRes.

I'm NOT a genius at pre-editing stuff in the first place with a decades-old app. So there you have it.  In case anyone crosses this very obscure bridge in the future. Differing black levels during import? Did you happen to open and fiddle with them in QT7 Pro?  Hmm?  Also, you'll have to shave a frame or two off the FRONT of the QT file to get the flags to re-set.  You're welcome, Avid-sphere.

    What a day.

I have no idea why I'm not kicked off this forum. Please disregard the above MIS-information.  I was dealing with an AMA linking issue with a Source Settings mismatch.  When I re-set the clips instructing AMA to 'Bypass all color transformations' and refreshed my sequence, things looked a lot better.  I had to re-edit certain clips to ensure I was using the correct clips, but that's all it was - operator error. Sheesh...
