Hi there,
Turning off the mixer takes about a second, turning it on takes about 3. It's not really any slower than it was when I had to reach over and press the buttons. I've also now made macros to switch the AVID mixer mode ie. from Clip to Auto. And I've made one that records keyframes (moving the playhead back 10 seconds, selecting all tracks and then hitting the REC button on the AVID mixer). Pretty fun! Here's how my old ipad looks running lemur with buttons assigned to these macros: https://imgur.com/hSlH4BP
It's true, getting this workaround up and running on different systems is not practical.
The MIX is overall terribly implemented on AVID MC and also terribly documented. I bitterly wrote a manual for it/MC myself: https://community.avid.com/forums/t/181622.aspx
I'm going to go check out xkeys now...
Hi Marianna,
Any word on this?
The latest version of MC i'm running is 2018-10 and now the Artist Mix will stop the Avid during playback if I so much as touch a fader, let alone actually make an adjustment with it. It then works, well kind of...
I still can't upgrade past 3.3.2 because of the fader movement issue, so can't take advantage of the improvements of latency/compatibility. The distraction is too much for any of the directors I have worked with.
Is there any way to get this moved forward? it really does need to be addressed. Surely after 2 years they could do something?
Thank you.

I'm also still on 3.3.2 because of the suspend faders issue...
