    Importing avi files from fraps

    Hi there,

I've been going around in circles for a while trying to figure out how to import these files to avid and the only way i've found is to convert them. My question is is there any kind of way to do this faster?

Currently it takes about 5 minutes for me to convert each individual file and the same amount of time to import to avid. I know this doesn't sound like a lot but when working with lots of files this is a huge time waste for me.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Fraps uses its own custom avi codec for capture so it must be converted.  Non-standard frame rates and raster sizes will also impact the speed of the conversion.

In addition if you can convert to Quicktime and then AMA link to MC, AMA link will reduce the time to bring the footage to MC.

    Good luck,
