It is Live right now and available!!!!!!!
OK, I just went over the spec's for MC First. I kind of get (but think it should be otherwise) the lack of 4K project support. However, I cannot believe Avid just released a consumer product without XAVC-S support!! I suppose it's fine for Panasonic or JVC users, but it leaves the entire Sony consumer user base (and much of the prosumer) out in the cold. Given that MC First is trying to compete against the free version of Lightworks (the free version of Resolve is now far more capable than either), and Lightworks supports the Sonys, where's the impetus for users to choose MC First?
