This is the exact issue I'm having. The app manager says that my Avid is activated, but Avid itself won't recognize that fact :-)
I've emailed Raff Condalor so hopefully he can sort me out! I'm dead in the water at the moment, and I've got work to do... :-(

I have the same Problem. I cloned the system disk to a larger one, for the old one i deactivated the license. and now i cant anymore activate the clone also not the old one
i Got this message:

i´ve got the same problem.can´t activate sibelius on my home mac any more. says: activation failed. device ID in license file does not match this machine´s device IDalso tried to reinstall app manager and sibelius. does not help
activation on my laptop was no problem.
before Academic Eligibility Renewal both worked perfect. home is: osx 10.9.laptop: osx 10.11

Having the same issue here. Deactivated on my old machine and won't active on my new machine. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am having this same problem. I just got a new computer and deactived avid on my old one. And it says its activated on my new one, but when I try to open it it says I still need to activted it. It won't let me deactive on my new one.
Im at a loss of what to do.

I have the same problem. I'm ttrying to launch MC, it ask me to connect (but I'm already connected) then when I try to deactivate, I got this message : "failed deactivation. 0 deactivation ok. no record of this device was found"

You should contact Avid Support.

Select Broadcast & Video, then on the next page click the + next to Contact Support and call the number listed for your area. Help with activation issues is free, and it's option 2 from the phone menu.
If you still don't get anywhere with them, send an email to Marianna Montague (marianna.montague@avid.com) and Raff Condalor (raff.condalor@avid.com). They are Avid's customer advocates, and can help you.
