if you select that option then yes.... otherwise you can always do a .bin file and activate without the internet.
If you do not have an internet connection follow these instructions to re-activate your software.
Oh boy, this has happened to me again. This is getting frustrating.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this would reoccur? I generally work outside of "business hours" so to have to get it reset every time is at least a 12 hour process.
Not good for the stress levels.

Can you check your internet connection.... is there a firewall in your location that m ight be impacting you? Sometimes if the internet is not that stable, an offline activation is a good idea.
Once activated, close the Application Manager window.
Launch Media Composer.

Ermmm..that advise actually would necessitate having an internet connection if you need to travel to www.avid.com/license etc.
