Hi,
On both our Macs (OSX10.9.5 & MC8.3 & BM Decklink cards) we can succesfully capture 'on the fly' with timecode from SR deck. However, if we log a clip from the same section of tape and batch capture it fails immediately with an error 'video signal present but not captured'.
I can succesfully capture these same logged clips form the same bin on a PC (Win764 & MC8.3) indicatiing this is a Mac/Avid issue. Decklink cards in machines are running driver 10.3.7 & 10.1.3, both have same issue indicating an Avid bug?
Anyone else able to capture but not Batch capture?
Cheers,
Mike
We have the same issue, and further, we couldn't even get an HD signal on our BM cards with any version of the driver 9.2.2
So we are on BM version 9.2.2 and are able to digitize, but not batch digitize

Can you email me your exact configs and the steps to get thi to happen

Hi Marianna, we're experiencing the same problem - we can't batch digitize from any deck (SD or HD, in PAL or NTSC). Has Avid solved the problem? Is there a workaround?
Many thanks,

Email sent with this same subject. Thanks Marianna
Two weeks ago we also contacted BlackMagic and they finally responded with this today:
Hello,Sorry for the very delayed response. This one sounded familiar so I wanted to check into this further. According to our bug database, it looks like we have to similar bugs logged with batch capture not working in AVID 8.3. It sounds similar enough to what has been logged. So the good news is that this should be something our engineering department is looking into. Unfortunately, I don't have a timeframe on when the driver update with this fix will come, as this is handled by a different department but the good news is that this is something we are aware of.Would it be possible for you to use our Media Express application as a temporary workaround or if you have found another workaround to use that in the interim?Regards,Albert ChuTechnical Support Representative Blackmagic Design Inc.
So they're aware and are working on it on their end. Maybe it is a BMD issue and not an Avid issue, either way, both companies should strive to fix this.
Apparently they are still working on it. I'm running into the same problem....
