    Error : SFPlayConsumer::Execute TIMEOUT

    I have seen many posts about this error, but I don't think I have read any solutions. We recently started to have this error on a work station that did not used to have it. iMac profile 14.2 , 3.5 GHz intel core i7, 32 Go RAM, running OS X 10.9.3, Media Composer 7.0.4, Matrox MXO2, driver 4.2.0.0006. Media are on external hard drive connected in USB3. Projet is 1080i/59,94. Medias are almost all in XD CAM EX 35 Mbits vbr.

    Re: Error : SFPlayConsumer::Execute TIMEOUT

    I found a solution..

    Remove the file "OpenIO_VirtIO.acf"
    Go to Applications \ Avid Media Composer \ and then right click on the app AvidMediaComposer and select "Show Package Contents."
    Then go into SharedSupport \ AVX2_Plug-ins \ and remove the file OpenIO_VirtIO.acf

    AVID started putting it in  7.0.4.2  and it's bundled inside Media Composer from then on.

    Thanks. It solved the SFPlayConsumer::Execute TIMEOUT error, but now the hardware goes dark from time to time. I will see with the editor which error she would rather deal with. Sleep

    Re: Error : SFPlayConsumer::Execute TIMEOUT

    Hi,

    I am running OSX 10.9.5 and MC v8.3. I did a clean install of the Matrox Software after removing the file from package contents.

    But I did received an updated MX02 build from the tech guys at MATROX. Its 4.3, but for Mavericks.

    I can email it to you if you like? Do let me know. It might be on tthe Matrox site already.

    I also disabled APP NAP in Mavericks http://osxdaily.com/2014/05/13/disable-app-nap-mac-os-x/

    and Disabled FAST SCRUB in Avid settings.

    and Matrox Card should go in either Slot 3 or 4

    All things related are in this very long post. http://community.avid.com/forums/t/132249.aspx?PageIndex=5

    Thanks Tracy, I will contact Matrox Support Team to see about this problem, just in case they have new informations or if my system is not exactly like yours and the file does not work. When I tried the latest release of Matrox driver last week, it would not install on Maverick. Guess this file is still a secret.
