    tiff import with alpha

I'm working at a documetary. I have many different stills to import with alpha. Some of themhave no problem, others have distorted colors instead of transparency.
I need the transparency because the edge of the photos are irregular, so transparency is the only way to preserve the original photo from photoshop.

I'm importing using as computer RGB (0-255), "Don not resize smaller images", Ignore alpha channel.
I'm ignoring the Alpha channel because I want the backgroud of the photo to be black.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Re: tiff import with alpha

Are all the tiffs in RGB color mode? I've had problems with importing tiffs that were CMYK instead of RGB. You can check the color mode in Photoshop. IF they are in any other color mode other than RGB, You can change them in Photoshop to RGB and save them in the correct color mode.
