Rendering is no longer using existing partial renders

Hi, lately my MC is behaving strangely on renders. It automatically renders whole clips from scratch, even if the red line on the clip indicates most of it is already rendered. In the past, if I trimmed the end of a rendered clip to be a bit longer, the red line would appear only for those frames (as it still does now), and rendering would be a quick action which created another precompute file just for those frames. Any ideas why this is not happening? Thanks.....

This may be normal behaviour.  Usually if you have a keyframed effect and you trim it the position of the keyframes will be adjusted to fill the trim.  As a result your effect will need to be fully rendered.
