I've read the past posts regarding issues with this device not working with MC5. Has this been resolved with MC6? Just our luck, we also have Pan. AG-DV2500 decks which don't work with Windows 7. Can anyone get on the same page?
Thanks for your help!
Steve

Just swapped out the 110 with a 300 and still didn't work. I thought I read in an earlier post that the Canopus 300 worked with Avid MC5. I guess not?
Bump
i complained for some time originally about this. Apart from some help from other users nothing was ever done. had 3 units that make good paper weights now.

Works for me with 5.0 - 5-5 and 6.0

What worked for you, the 110 and the 300? I see you're running a Mac.
Is this a Avid/Windows issue? I tried changing the driver to Legacy but still no luck.
Thanks
I´m a multi platform editor, the advc 300 unit works both on my Mac and on my PC
Another question. What firewire card are you using on your PC with Windows 7.
Only the origin internal, Gigabyte boards uses TI chipsets, one of many advantages with them, I have used Gigabyte boards on all my homebuilt editing systems during the last 15 years or so.
This last built is an old one, should have been retired a long time ago, 4 years is an eternity in the computer business, it´s still doing a very good job however.
Saves my money for a future build, things gets faster and faster and cheaper .......
So if the Canopus ADVC 300 is supposed to work with MC 5, is there something I can try to get it to work with my system other than changing the driver to Legacy?
Anyone have any thoughts that might help. Trying to get a Canopus ADVC300 to work with MC 5.
I have a Pyro box. I used Sorenson Squeeze for firewire import. Then AMA to Media Composer.
Anyone else have ideas on getting a Canopus ADVC300 to work with MC 5.5?
Don't know if this will help, but I use an ADVC 100. However, I use Scenalyzer to capture and then AMA link to the AVI's.
