Audio gradually goes out of sync

    Ladies and Gents,

I just downloaded Avid Studio Trial and I'm really impressed by the functionality of this program. However I'm having a bit of trouble editing some tutorial videos that I'm creating for youtube. I filmed myself with my Nikon D90 digital camera, and upon importing the avi files into Avid Studio, the audio gradually goes out of sync as the played video clip progresses. In other words everything starts off synced, and by the end of the 14 minute clip the audio is off by a good 4-5 seconds. Original avi plays in sync. The avi file is 640X424, data rate 11546kbps, total bitrate 11722kbps, 24 fps, audio is 176kbps, mono, 11kHz.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    thank you for your time

    PS using Toshiba Satellite P770 windows 7 machine i7, 6gb, 7200rpm.
