No it's been around quite a while. I think I really started to notice it's impact when the color correction method of meridian was changed to an effect based nature, even though the green line etc... act the same. At the time of the switch over when I'd go into trim mode the color correction would disappear because it was now an effect to be rendered on the fly. Turning that on makes the color correction appear also some effected clips will just go black without render on the fly in trim mode on. Back when processing was at a premium it must have been used to make trim mode more responsive.

Could the trim behavior be controled by the setting that decides whether the render on the fly is on or off when in trim mode? Just a thought I'm on an SN classic right now with 3.0.5 so I can't tinker.

Interesting, this was turned off (since when has it been in here?), but didn't effect the result. Maybe this is a new 'feature'.

1) When you go into Trim modein a HD project the Video Quality flips to Draft Mode (whether you were in Full Green 8 or 10bit). It flips back when you go back to Source/Record. Not the end of the world, just weird.

Yeah, I'm seeing this too on a Mac Symphony DX v3.5 system. I didn't notice it till you mentioned it though.

I've noticed a couple of things and wondered if anybody else has seen anything similar...

2) When I try and auto-configure a deck I get an NTSC drop/non-drop frame error. Which is weird as I'm working in Pal. I have to manually configure the deck. This is working in HD (1080i/50).
