You're welcome, guys. I wish there were more. There are a few Deko tutorials (even in the free sample section) in ALEX (a part of the Avid site) which have some bearing on Title Deko Pro since the features and functionality are so similar. Some of what those videos show can be used in TD Pro. If anyone knows of other TD Pro tutorials, I'd like to see them.

Scott... thanks for finding the remaining tutorials. I have been collecting many of these tutorials and are running them (locally) from the Carolina ALUG website. Aside from the TDPro tutorials, check out all the others which can be accesses at no charge.

Readers should know that most of these free tutorials have been created with Liquid (Edition) and may have a slightly different user interface. But the raw functionality remains the same.

Sorry for the link being copied out in full on my earlier reply. I can see the button for creating a link and at one time I read (somewhere) about how to insert it. I will read up again if I get time today, but I don't usually feel competent to make many replies to other peoples problems - lots of capable users here without my pennies worth!

But like many others, TD Pro feels clunky to me although I can produce plenty of good titles with it and it's my only titler and probably always will be - if always is a lot less than infinity.

I have been making good titles with TD all along, but I have had to watch those videos over and over and I still have no real clue how to manuever in TD. I even have a manual. I purchased TD Pro for Avid new for $10 just before Liquid 7 was released so I could use it in Liquid 6.1. Anyhow, the videos were a great find. I am going to watch the complete series again.

Exactly, Ed. That's why I hadn't figured it out until recently. I expected it to be intuitive and it is just far too powerful and feature-packed to be that way. Expecting that and not checking the manual long ago was my mistake and I regret it deeply. I could have been making great titles with ease all these years!

I'm glad you're getting something out of the videos. There's a lot that TD Pro can do that we're only going to discover as we use it more.

Scott, don't feel bad. The problem is that TD is just not very intuitive. The tutorials are great because they help us realize TD's power, but where it all goes wrong is trying to apply it. The videos make it look so simple. I am glad I can watch the videos and work in the editor simultaneously.

Module 2 has a lot on layers but everything about TD Pro is layers, really. I hope these videos will help get people interested in using TD Pro more. My biggest trouble from years ago up until recently was never knowing that it opened up with that starting layer which took up the whole screen. Not knowing it caused me to have to start titles over from scratch many times when adding or moving text got things messed up. I just didn't know about the layers and that I was unintentionally adding layers which appeared over each other. I wish I had taken the time years ago to read the manual and I wish I had been able to see those tutorials back then.

Thank you Scott. I will watch the latest when I get a chance. In ref to Cathy's post - isn't there quite a bit about layers in the third tutorial? I recall doing some exercises with layers somewhere along the way in the first four tutorials.

I have watched the first 4 videos, but I could not save them to watch at a later time. Is their a way to save the first 4 versions?

Thanks Scott for posting these. I had all the other 4 training videos for title deko pro but not these last two. I often used to watch the others wondering how to work with the layers but none of the other ones covered this. Thanks again. I now have them saved.
