Is it the cost of using an Avid Unity on a feature that is the cost problem?

Way to go AVID and thanks ACE. If nothing else the decision on what platform to edit should be decided after a consultation with the editor and his team. Editor's are just as able to balance a budget and take everything that needs to be taken into consideration as a DP and his crew. And really the cost differences aren't as much as people make them out to be. And they're getting less every 6 months.

Interesting and appears to have been awarded with some urgency.

"The decision can't be made at the editor's level," she said, "because it needs to be made by someone who's responsible for costs."
