Just curious, from who's mouth did you receive that info?

Also, after a great deal of testing I found that over/undercrank is supported when shot 1080 24p, but not 1080 30p. Since I shoot most of my material 1080 30p that really hurts my workflow in Avid.

Need to see if this is a problem in FCP. One more reason to add another NLE to my set of tools.

Re: Unsupported Resolution with XDCAM HD

Just got the answer from the horse mouth... No support for over/undercrank XDCAM HD422 yet.

You must need additional hardware to be able to import the files.

Unsupported Resolution with XDCAM HD

I have some XDCAM HD material that was shot on disc (not EX material). The material was shot at 1080 30p and all the files that are 35 mbps are importing, but I can't get any of the files that were shot off speed (overcranked) to import. They show as 17.5 mbps MXF files and I get an error that Avid can't import that file when I use a regular workflow using the standard import.

I have also tried AMA but the files show as Unsupported Resolution. Therefore I can't transcode the files. Does anybody have any ideas how to get these files into Avid MC4????

I have tried both 1080 60i projects and 1080 30p with no success. All the other files are working fine in either project.

Have to deliver a rough cut to the client in a few days. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
