There's not a supported card list; what you'll generally see is something like "Soundblaster-compatible". If you want to find information about a Soundblaster Live card, I'd search the forums (the Free DV one as well as the Xpress Pro and Media Composer ones) for "soundblaster live" and see if anyone else has had any luck with this card.

Otherwise, I'd look for a Soundblaster Audigy 2 or Audigy SE, as they seem to work for a lot of people.

good luck,
Carl

Supported sound cards?

Hello

I have on-board realtek HD audio. I have read that there are known problems with that card. I get the famous AVID_AUDIO_OPEN_ERROR and disabling the realtek sound mixer actually disables all sound on the system. (So I can run avid without sound).

The cheapest card which I can buy is Sound blaster live 5.1. Is it supported?

Thanks
