Thank you so much for your reply. I never consider configuring the registry. It never came into my mind. Honestly, I am hands-off to editing registry cause i dont understand it much. This is a very good and unique suggestion. I'll give try this to an isolated workstation. Kudos to you csquire!

Hi,

You've probably already reinstalled, but for next time...

The only workaround I can think of is to (carefully) edit the registry. Delete the following key (it will be recreated the next time you launch the application):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\avid\workgroups\avid technology incorporated\select workgroup

I also noticed when I went to Avid Workgroup Properties> Login Tab ... its all grayed out.

that includes the edit button.im sorry if i wasn't clear about it.

Engr. jpc i see were your coming from. I also wanna know other work around on this. That was the same resolution I did at that time. Hopefully more people would share thier thoughts about this issue.

I don't think that your suggestion will work because I've done it before when it happened to me and it didn't work. I also committed the same mistake before. What I did was to reformat the OS and reinstalled Avid. I also want to know if there's a work around on this situation.

In the first tab of the Interplay Workgroup Properties, you can click "Edit..." to the right of the Workgroup listing. Try changing it there and see what happens in your Service Configuration.

Hi, i would like to ask any work around on a problem I encountered after installing Avid Framework. When i opened Avid Service Configuration for the first time the workgroup dialog box appears asking me to select a workgroup. Accidentally, i didnt select any workgroup but i ticked the "Always select and use this workgroup” option. What happens now is that the service configuration ( the box where it says Avid Service Cnfiguration w/ a yellow background )loads for a few seconds when you open it but doesn't go to any window...i cant open it. Logically, it does not find any workgroup to connect on too. Now, i want to undo that but dont know how.I also noticed when I went to Avid Workgroup Properties> Login Tab ... its all grayed out. Except from reinstalling the framework again, Is there another option where in I can configure connecting to a workgroup?
