Hi,
No, it's not just you. I think the links are pointing to the old forum addresses. I've sent a message to Pif (the forum admin) to see what can be done to fix them.
{UPDATE} I got a message from Pif today (21 May 08) and the links should be fixed later this week.
{UPDATE AGAIN} The links all seem to be working now (13 June 08).
adios,Carl
There is no such thing as a video emergency. My Demo Website
i tried to follow a link above ("disc access denied") & was redirecred to the "new & improved" knowledgebase... which asked me for a login email address & password. my forum login info was not accepted. is this only accessible now for avid customers with registered user accounts? if so, that's a shame. so many editors & avid users don't have access to the parent account login info.
is this just my problem?

Shane:No problem accessing it here - no login required. At home at the moment. Here's the link I use.

thanks larry. i thought that was odd. i now notice i am being redirected to the "my stuff" tab, which prompts only for the login info. if i select the "answers" tab, i can see the info you linked to as well. it's too bad some of the original threads that are referenced are no longer linked directly. just looking around, i found some links that link to the general knowledgebase (as you noted), some that said "subject no longer available" & some that link to the original threads.
i was looking for a great thread baklap had on Access Violations & disc permission problems (one i have referenced a number of times in the past), to refer someone else on the forum to it. but that thread is no longer available. i'm sure there is ample info on the knowledgebase about file sharing, etc., but it's unfortunate that it takes more effort now to find it than it used to.
thanks for your reply, larry.
Shane:
You're right about former links now being broken. I had to dig around a bit but I found the procedure for permissions settings.
you're the man, larry. i will save this for the next time i find someone that could benefit from it. the poster who needed it has already resolved their problem, thanks to others on the forum.
