hey fellas,

does anyone else of you noticed a unsteady video output thru the matrox mxo2mini?

when i scroll thru my timeline in edit mode everything works fine, but when i go to color correction mode and scroll thru my timeline the matrox just outputs a frame all 15 frames. (like it uses to be when you work with really slow harddrives and scroll in the timeline)

and more, when i klick between the windows current, reference and previous it often doesn´t output the highlighted picture.

i noticed that on a couple different avid systems with matrox mxo2mini included. would be great to get this fixed if this is fixable?

at the moment:
mc 5.0.3.9
os x 10.6.6
matrox driver 2.1.1.0050

noticed that effect also in prior patches. not sure if i tested mc 5.5 already.... did you?

I am currently on 5.52 and 2.2.3 without seeing this but I have also used the combo you are desrcribing with the exception for that it might have been 5.0.3.5.

I have never had problems with playing in realtime, where are your media stored ?

external via e-sata.
as i said its working fine in the source rec editing timeline.

its like the matrox cant´t interpret the blue line position when in color correction mode. its not just this system where i´m at the moment. i noticed that at least on 4 different avid configurations with the matrox box attached.

don´t get me wrong. i love the matrox mxo2 mini more than all other harware combis cos i can use it with an eizo foris via hdmi. and the best: with the configuration u ahven´t got any processing delay. like you would have with an sdi connected monitor (JVC-DTxx e.g.)

HI Sven, I am not able to repro this, have you tried with creating a new workspace

a new day. at the moment everything is working properly. it may have to do with a restart. thats probably why i got the feeling that it became worse near the end of the day.
is this a memory thing?

also really long sequences seem to work with hundreds of color effects and 10 tracks audio waveforms switched on. 

weird. i´ll see how the day develops. 

Yes, sort of " should work " , I am one of those that have helped Matrox doing tests with this but as patches comes and goes and new drivers are released rather frequent it´s somehow difficult to cover it all, the combinations drivers - patches are quite many.
