Direct after starting the installation of AVID Studio (upgrade from pinnacle studio 14), the sytem returns errors and aborts the installation:1) kb981266 not available on the computer. 2) The path my videos contains an invalid character 3) The wizard is closing (without installation).
My system: Windows 7 on a HP Pavilion Elite HPE (Intel i7)

No, a lot of contact with Avid/Pinnacle, but no solution.
Martin, who at Avid have you been in touch with regarding this? Do you know if this issue had been previously escalated and assigned a bug number?

I'm having the same problem and still no solution (Point 1 - program close). AVID worked fine and now after several Updates a.s.o. the program closes after the startup windows.

well... system specs means that you publish all relevant details: what hardware, what graphics card, what audio card, QT version, driver versions, software versions, whant kind of software? etc. etc. Did I say detailed? ;)
You are on the media composer forum. The previous poster had a avid - pinnacle program. That has its own forum. So if you also on A-P then you might be better off to post on that forum.
