    Glad you like!

    On my PC MC v8.4, all I have to do is highlight the Sequence in an active bin, then press Hot-key Command-Palette-mapped fro:

    Clip >> Loop Selected Clips

    FUNNY that it was hiding in plain sight for 13 or more years.

    TL;DR:

    There's a mappable quick menu option called "Loop Selected Clips", which essentially loads the selected clip (or sequence) to the source monitor.
    I just mapped my middle mouse button to it.
    you still need to right click the sequenece to select it, and only then click the mapped button to load it. But it really quite a good solution!
