    new "option"? ALT+TC track

    Hi

Pressing ALT+TC track gives me one big monitor insted of my SOURCE/RECORD monitors.

    What is it good for?

    Can it be disabeled??

I use a lot the CTRL+ALT on my timeline but now I get into this "new" mode all the time

aha!  I was trying to show the problem to a colleague and didn't happen with her settings, I flipped to my settings and it happened.   So now at least I have some understanding of why it's doing it with my settings, but not with hers.

    Re: new "option"? ALT+TC track

i also see this behaviour when i want to got to a clip's last frame pressing ctrl+alt+click. point no 5 on my list from June 30th (workaround: click first, then press ctrl+alt. Man, i am getting so tired of all these workarounds ...)

creating new settings (i did not try this for the first time) helps for a while it seems, but right now without any reason the issue appeared again after five minutes or so with newly created and not-altered-at-all settings here.

Checking if this is an intentional feature or not. If not, I could try to get it escalated.

    Re: new "option"? ALT+TC track

Whether it's an intentional feature or not, please be so kind to escalate it. Apparently nobody wants a full size video partly hidden behind the timeline ;-)

I'm going to say that it is not intentional...  if it is, then that's another bad new feature of MC5.  CMD+Option (or CTRL+ALT) clicking on the TC track is a staple of how many people have interacted with the Avid Timeline for years.  How else are we to Snap to Tails?

Losing that functionality is a terrible step backwards.

Since this only seems to occur when selecting the Timeline option to disable smart tools by clicking the TC track or ruler, it seems like unintentional. Escalated it.

    Re: new "option"? ALT+TC track

Hi guys, we have a fix in hand for this issue and it will be included in an upcoming release.

FWIW:  It's supposed to be that Alt+click on the Composer icon will toggle the monitor.  This is actually a long standing feature, but the bug was that it leaked into other parts of the UI.
