edit is ambiguous due to lock constraints

I am in a 1080 2997  project trying to group two cameras. One camera shot 1080 2997 and the other shot 1080 23.976. I am using MC 5.0 and trying to group the two camera by inpoint. Every time i try this i get"edit is ambiguous due to lock constraints" Any idea how to fix this?

Can you group the cameras by any method?

This may be a limitation of mix and match, since it is more related to being in the timeline.  It may not allow grouped clips of mixed framerates.

You could try mixing down the 23.976 camera to get it to be 29.97, then sync that.

I have the same popup message.

I tried to group footage from two different cameras. One is 1080p23.976 two channel audio and the other is 1080p29.97 with 5.1 audio. I'm guessing I can't do multicame on these two different footage then.

I'm having this issue on Avid 4 trying to group 30p and 60p footage.  I'm assuming its because it won't let me group mix frame rates.

Yes, I just had exactly the same problem grouping some 1080i/50 and some 720P/25 :(
