Error: Ingest MXF - D10 files using the TransferManager

    Hi,

We use the Transfer Manager 1.6 to ingest clips from another server.

The clips are all MXF - D10 - MPEG2 - I-frame only. the clip names are FTP - usable (ASCII only)

We use the Avid FTP Media Browser to start the transfer - the transfer is working properly...

Finally the clips are in the selected bin and can be used by the editor.

    Now the problem:

While the editor is editing - the sequence (with the imported clips) can not be played and an error appears:

    Exception: DISK_INVALID_FILENAME_SYNTAX, filename:X:\ .... \1\'--?-|

The cause of this error is always an audio-track of one of the imported clips.

If you disable e.g. Audio-Track 2 - the sequence can be played.

    * the error appears at our standalone systems and at systems conncted to a LanShare FC

    * the name of the media files in the media directory is normal

    * deleting the database files doesn't solve the problem

    * if you close the bin and wait a minute - sometimes the error is gone

It seems like there is a background scan, that is solving the problem.

The "filename" looks like there is a unicode <-> ascii problem.

This problem could be caused by localization.

Are the OS language and lcoale settings the same on both the TM and the editor?

If this problem persists please open a support case.
