I have executed the listed procedures Nothing to make does not work
It didn't work for me either. Any other suggestions?
I have the same problem on my laptop. Using windows 7, 32-bit. Let me describe what happens in more detail.
When trying to run the application the first thing that happens is that I get a message box saying: "No Software license was found. Please contact customer support." The top of the window with the error message says "Avid Media Composer". (The MC-application window is full screen in the background but without any contents.)
After pressing the OK-button the exact same dialog box appears again and I have to press OK once more.
After that I get the "Welcome to media composer"-dialog box where I can select what activation method I want to use. I select trial and press CONTINUE. After that the application just quits. It does not crash with an error message - it just shuts down.
The same thing happens again everytime I try running the application. The trial period seems to have started since the registration dialog says that I have 30 days left of my trial period.
I have checked write access to the two folders and that does not seem to be the problem. I have also tried reinstalling the application without success.
UP
It 's called BUMP in this forum.
Is there a chance your system is dualboot? If this is the case, is your system drive C or D?
If it 's D, then maybe MC is trying to write in C while loading, although it has created the folders in D during installation. Just a thought.
...and what happens if I press this button?...
Not in my case...
Not in my case... Idem !
Has anyone here tried a full unistall of the application and then a reinstall? Were any of you running MC 4 on Win 7 prior to this?
In agreement, Unity. In Disagreement, Discussion. In all things, Charity.
I was running MC4 on Win XP SP3 32 and I had no problem. And I've also tried uninstall and reinstall and nothing.
I have helped a couple of people with this problem and both of them were running MC 4 before installing MC5. A reinstall of the OS and MC cleared up the issue.
In fact, I made a partition and installed Win7 and it worked perfect, so maybe I'm gonna move to Win7 or try to reinstall win xp. Thanks for the help guys!
Are any of you that are experiencing this problem trying to open a Bin or project from a previous trial version of the software?
In other words, is this project from a trial version of MC4?
Can you open up a new project?
You don't have the chance to go that far. The application shuts down (vanishes) immediately after you select trial or activation using my dongle, etc.
kamrat, a few posts before, gives a very good description.
I also have the exact same problem as kamrat described. After chosing trial, the application just quits suddenly. Im on win xp pro sp3, and before that I had mc4 on same system. But reinstalling OS is not an option really. So any other solutions so far? Still unknown what is causing that problem?
Bump.
1 day of trial already lost. please help.
