Hi MM , I really don´t know what private things George are talking about but leaving out a private conversation on a public board isn´t something that ever should be done, you wouldn´t like that either I believe .
Take care
Tomas
Tomas, George:
What Marianna is so politely saying to you both is that if you must argue, please take it OFF LINE in emails and stop posting them in this thread.
Thank you.

ok ok
i just sent a report to the northern california office (since my german is too rusty), and i will try to contact them by phone, during business hours.
actually, i wouldn't mind getting that program, if they get it to work...
the time you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted time...
Thanks for contacting them. Let them know that there are several people on this forum who have experienced this issue. I can't speak for others, but since I have now paid for the program, I wouldn't mind testing their 'fix' along with providing my system specs, etc.
Cheers
Steve

Users and friends , the folks at Prodad are rather busy now , new interesting things are coming, check their site later this week, maybe already tomorrow, but have asked me to tell you this: Vitascene 2 for MC 6 is still in the test phase, they apologize if it was some kind of misunderstandment , they will officially tell on their main page when the 64 bits Vitascene plugin is ready for MC 6 , shouldn´t take that long hopefully . When the final version is officially announced and released they look forward to hear about your thoughts about the newly developed filter , until it´s officially released they asks you for patience and cooperation .
Many thanks Tomas, we are fortunate that you have the strong contacts at Prodad and so many other vendors and are willing to share the fruits of your efforts.

I will write this out , keep it and look at it whenever I need to John, thanks for those words , trying to do my best .
And , as have also been told at other places , Mercali 64 bits is just released , take a look , might be worth it .
Thanks from me too Tomas.
I will stay on the artistic side only and I will let you do all the talking from now and then.
Is the Mercalli for MC6 as well?

Mercali 2 is now available for MC 6 64 bits George and that is official on Prodads website, just go to the " Compability " tab .
Regarding Vitascene it´s certified for both AE and PP 5,5 now , there was a 16 bits bug that is fixed with this latest release , the Prodad technicians are working good and fast so, again , hopefully the MC 6 certified version isn´t to far away .
Great news thanks.
thanks, tomas.

On my rig, neither AE nor PP (CS5) worked with the Vitascene filter so I'm guessing that ProDad has a much bigger issue than just a problem with MC. It's more likely Vitascene with a particular driver and GPU memory configuration, etc.
Interesting to know that even though the release history for Vitascene mentions support for MC 6, ProDad is claiming that support is not 'official'. Perhaps the release notes should have said 'preliminary support for MC 6 - not official' - or something like that
These results are with the 2.0.166 version dated March 22, 2012

No going to open up Prodad support here Steve but the Vitascene version you mention is the latest one with the 16 bits fix and works on my PC sys specs as in profile with certified Avid driver 275,89 and AE 5,5 , I do not have AE 5 available for tests .
What I just noticed is that I do get an error message in PP 5,5 , I haven´t tried PP earlier , never use it as I´m testing Avid workflows and also do all edit on Avid, I´m also doing this on my spare time so I don´t have the time to go through it all .
Will report that PP error later today, new versions are beeing released rather frequently now so just to hope for a fix soon is my advice .
touviere7: thanks, tomas.
ProDad has changed their release notes (revision history) to remove mention of MC 6 support. Probably a good idea until the dust settles. I haven't tried messing with drivers yet. I wonder if ProDad knows that in order to support MC, they need to support the driver version required by MC - otherwise they don't really support MC after all.
