No Video thru Firewire on Mojo

For some reason I can not capture Video thru Firewire on Mojo.  It had been working fine.  The S video input is still working.

    Any help appreciated.

    What exactly is the problem?

I know that if you capture through firewire, using any keyspan for deck control, you have to have the tape record lock out enabled, otherwise you get a message about being unable to digitise.

No video or audio is passed through while in log and capture mode. Cant see video or hear audio.

And there has been no new hardware configuration.

    Mojo or Mojo SDI?

Have you tried disconnecting the Mojo and capturing straight to the computer? (You made sure the 1394/DNA Toggle button is on 1394? - I'm sure you have, but it's always good to make sure the basics are mentioned.)

I have DNA 1394 Selected.  I can capture via firewire without the Mojo.

Still no luck trying to capture thru Mojo via firewire input. I guess it is dead.  I tried a new firewire cable still nothing. Deck control works but no video or audio pass thru.

    Mojo or Mojo SDI?

    What version of Media Compposer?

I have used Mojo SDI since Media Composer 2.x.x. and the 4-pin firewire input on the back has never worked as described (I can't capture DV using it). So in order to capture DV, I have to remove Mojo SDI from the Mac Pro and connect my firewire deck direct to the Mac Pro. Avid has in effect told me that the 4-pin firewire input on the back of Mojo SDI is useless.

    Have you updated software recently?

A shot in the dark but do you have a firewire drive attached to the same bus as the mojo because if you do you won't be able to digitise.

    System 1: Dual quad core 3.2 Intel Xeon. 2gigs ram. OSX 10.5.4 MC 3.1.2 System 2: Dual 2.3 G5 Pci-e, 6.5 gigs ram, OSX 10.5.4, MC 3.1.1 2 x 250 gig... [view my complete system specs]

Thanks everyone, I had to digitize a tape today. I Unplugged the Mojo from the AC connector and plugged it back in.  It is now working again.

Ahh yes, the old "recycle the power" trick. Works almost every time.
