I continuously have been getting the following error: "The Automatic Source is not Connected. Please Connect it or change the input." I only get this error when trying to capture HD footage. I have my inputs set to HD-SDI for Video and Audio. I checked the deck settings and it is set to inbed audio through the HD-SDI output. I checked to see if the BNC cable is bad, but it seems to be alright. The weird thing is if I start playing the footage with just the V selected and once the tape starts playing I select the 2 Audio tracks it continues to capture the footage. I read in other posts about the green light in the capture window being lit or not and no mine is not lit.
Any ideas would be great. I need to set up a batch capture to save time. Thanks
Just give the people what they want!
If you're not getting the green signal light, then you're not getting a signal. The fact that it seems fine after you've rolled into the footage a bit sounds as if it's not detecting the signal until it knows something is there.

Yeah that makes sense, but why would it only have this problem in an HD project and not in SD? and what do I need to do to get the great light to detect the signal?
What kind of deck are you feeding the HD-SDI? Is it displaying a locked picture when in pause, or it is in E/E and having some input signal pass through?

It is a Panasonic AJ-HD1400. When it is in pause I do get just the video signal. But after I start rolling to footage I can select the A1 and A2 tabs and then hit the capture button. Once I stop capturing what I need it will hold the signal for maybe one more capture and the looses the A1, A2 signals again.
Update...When I do lose the signals I do not have any signal coming through, just a black screen.
Have you tried power cycling the Adrenaline?
What resolution and frame size are you capturing?
As far as power cycling the adrenaline, I have but it doesn't really seem to help.
I am trying to capture 1280x720, 720p at DNxHD 145.
I was able to capture what I needed but it took extra time to reaquire signal and get to edit points for capturing, it just is a pain to not be able to do a batch capture.
What do you have for a signal going into the 1400? Do you have good reference feeding both the deck and the Avid?
I have an AJA Gen 10 HD/SD Sync Generator box
And what kind of reference are you feeding the deck? (SD, HD. what frame rate?)Also, what is feeding the deck HD-SDI in? What is the video input menu set to?
You might try setting the deck to internal bars and tone and see if you get green lights all around. I've had issues with embedded audio coming into SN classic when no ref was going to the deck. It was wierd feeding another deck the audio was there but not in the avid. Disconnecting and reconnecting house black brought the audio back to the avid. It was wierd.
