I remember somewhere in the past I complained I'd lost the ability to print video from the Rec Monitor directly. I would have to export a jpeg and print from photoshop etc.. That was noted as a bug and fixed. I was on a PC SN classsic at the time. Now I'm on a Mac OS 10.5.6 Ver 3.5.4 and when I try to print from the rec monitor I get a bandy giberish print out. Once again I have to export a jpeg and print from photoshop. I use this feature a lot to print slates off the timeline for a quick temp label. Sure would be nice to go direct from the Rec monitor. Anybody got any suggestions?

I saw the same thing in MC 4.0 and am looking into it.
My suggestion is to use Grab utility, make a selection and print this.

I just export a jpeg and print from preview or photoshop, but I really miss this feature. Tell the software guys I'm going to hold my breath until I turn blue and if that doesn't work I'll complain that the shade of blue I turn won't key in Spectramatte. That ought to get them moving.
My guess is that since the video in the player windows uses the overlay mode in the graphics card, it probably needs special code to get that out to the printer.

This is a bug and I asked support to log it. If/when I receive an update I'll report back.
