audio levels different in all clips

I'm working with MC 3.5 Nitris on a PC.

i'm cutting a 30 minute sequence with many clips from various tape sources.

Each clip audio levels are very different, some are too high, others too low, etc.

I know you can set the level of entire timeline from IN to OUT, but that won't help

here because each clip is different.

Is there a way in the Avid where I cal make multiple clips with different audio levels

all the same from IN to OUT of sequence?

    thanks!

Use the Audio Mixer and the VU meters?
