Marianna:Fixes and ReadMe Files
I know I can find them and I know I am being lazy but a link, simple to add, would get a huge number of us to the relevant part of the release much more easily. Pretty please.
For anyone wanting this one

Thanks for the continued dongle support
There is no Readme file in the download specific to 4.0.3. Only a readme for 4.0
I just downloaded 4.0.3 from the Download Site. Is there a readme for 4.0.3 that explains the many fixes?
bobcat:There is no Readme file in the download specific to 4.0.3. Only a readme for 4.0
Follow the link I posted. (Found by going to the knowledge base and searching for 4.0.3)
It is true. The readme file for 4.0.3 is not contained in the download.
Thank you for providing the link to the readme file Andrew.
Could I go directly from MC 3.5.4 to 4.0.3 or do I have to install 4.0.2 first and then upgrade?
(received the upgrade code for 4.0 but havent had the chance to upgrade yet)
thanks.
Each Avid update is a self-contained application. So yes, you can jump straight to 4.0.3
Thanks Jake.
On it folks.... both Douglas and Todd made me aware of this and I have both Greg on the support DL center and Chris on the avid.com free site checking. The rub for me is that everyone calls both sites the Download Center :) so it isnt always easy to find the issue quickly.
I expect to have it sorted shortly. Here is the 4.0.3 readme.

Andrew - I'll make sure the info I get to the mod's includes the URL to the readme's moving forward :)
Aim to please.

That will be great. Thanks
Just found the read me and no mention of a fix for the EX tearing issue? Has this been addressed? I was led to believe it was high priority. I can't see how anyone can cut on Avid if using EX footage. please update the progress on this. thank you.
Boke
Being a high priority doesnt equate to a fix when a. it is a 2 fold issue as I have already stated with the NVIDIA driver and the editor b. it has to be reproduced on all editors as it is the same code and c. it then has to be fixed, tested etc....
I know it is logged as a bug and is in engineering. Depending on the nature of the issue and what may be required to resolve, it sometimes takes a while.
Wish I had a better answer but... thats the scoop.
Marianna, can you confirm that an uninstall of 4.0.2 is required before installing 4.0.3
Thanks
You should always uninstall before installing a newer version
