    Which files exactly?

    Media Files?

    Bins?

    Projects?

    OS related?

There may be ways to recover most files that people deem "important" without resorting to 3rd party apps.  For example, you can Batch Capture/Import to recover media files.  You can search for an Attic version of a deleted Bin.  And the project files are really not necessary if you have all of the Bin files.
