    Activation Problems

    Hi,

I just recently bought a version of MC4.0 to go on a PC where I have been trialling it for a while - it is replacing my ageing Xpress Pro copy on another PC.

Bought the academic version of the software from an online retailler, received it this morning (all in shrinkwrap and so on), but went to register it and it says I have already registered this serial number! Not very possible, but I am open to administrative quirks happening.

Tried to contact AVID Europe, but can't do without some SAC code or whatnot. Can't get one of them without registering. Catch 22!

Can someone from AVID get in contact with me on James@tee2.tk

    THANKYOU

    Hi,

You can call US support @1-800-800-2843 (opt 2) and speak to a customer service representative about software activation directly. They will be glad to get you going. There is no charge for this option.

If that doesn't work (or you can't call the US from where you are), contact Marianna Montague or Todd Smelser and they'll help you.

    good luck,
    Carl

    Re: Activation Problems

    Thanks for the reply,

I now have two emails from AVID thanking me for registering my product... but they don't contain a SAC. They say: here is your complementary SAC (BLANK)

What is going on? It seems like the key is legit and working, but the AVID program just didn't "get" the activation code. I don't want to spend money on an international call to sort out a problem that I didn't create...

    Re: Activation Problems

    Hi,

I don't know why it's not working.  Another place to look for activation problems is the software activation page of the knowledge base, but I don't think anything in there relates to the specific problem you're having.

If I were in your shoes, I'd contact Marianna or Todd via email, private message or instant message.  Their contact information is in the links I posted above.

    good luck

    Re: Activation Problems

you do not need an SAC to contact support for Activations. Just follow the procedure Carl outlined above.
