Titles Suddenly Won't Play -- Unsupported Res / Missing Track Error

Strange.  Sequences with titles created as of about two weeks ago played yesterday, but now display and Exception error referencing an unsupported resolution and missing track "V256."

Loading the titles themselves in the source window and trying to play them yields the same error.  Earlier titles play fine.  We can recreate the titles and resave them and they are restored to normal, but we have to do them one at a time.  Very time consuming as we're talking about several dozens...  Tried relinking to DNX36 media to no avail.

Bin sees the titles on the proper drive, rebuilt media databases...  It's as if these titles suddenly report that they have extra tracks that are at an unsupported resolution, since the errors I get all relate to missing tracks and unsupported resoultion.   Weird that this would happen to blocks of titles that played fine, and seems confined to titles created after a certain date.

    Any ideas?

OS 10.5.5, Media Composer 3.13.  Happens on multiple machines.

Why do good titles suddenly go bad?

You can't mark and in and out and "Recreate Title Mattes" in your sequence and do them all at once?
