I'm trying to digitize in some analog BetaSP footage on my MC Software 2.6.3 version.
It's an analog MOJO plugged into the main board firewire. No other FW drives plugged in. Do have a USB external drive for storage of this project.
DNA is enabled. Receiving prompt on source and sequence monitors;
A device on the 1394 bus causing problems. Please remove it or disable 'Output to DV Device'. - FTStatus Code - FT_LinkInitializationFailed - FlamethrowerLnkManager::Openlink - Failed to create link object.
It's been quite a while since I digitized off my UVW-1800 into the Analog MOJO but it's worked like a champ in the past. What can I do to troublehoot this?
--- Output to DV Device is off --- Tried Mojo on both onboard FW & the Pyro 3rd party card with same results --- No other storage is on other than an external USB ---
Thanks in advance
Two days ago I digitized in Video footage only. Today I digitized in Audio only. I no longer could get video input to go from Mojo to computer.
Did you try with the USB drive disconnected just for grins? If you can borrow another Mojo you can determine if yours is bad. Sorry I don't have more for you.

Where work - is a pleasure.
Have you added anything to your computer since it worked? Any PCI cards? If so, disable them. Also try disabling your network card. Sometimes mine interferes. Also, go to your device manager and if the firewire hardware appears in there, disable that (it won't disable your firewire connection).
Try to think if you changed any drivers recently also.
OK. Entering Bizarro world now. ---- got it to digitize.... but....
So I was working on my project on my laptop off of a USB external drive. Because of this, I threw the project files onto my external. No problem, right. Well not until I tried to digitize while in the project coming off the external drive.
So in my troubleshooting I went back to another external G-Tech raid I have attached with the original project I moved over (archive). Whodathunk... the thing digitized without issue.
So I digitized into a new bin buit put the media on the other external USB I was having issues with. Transfered the bin over to the external project and opened it up.
--- so I could not digitize on a project located on this external Maxtor 1TB raid drive I have but it plays back media well so it's still viable for my laptop off-projects. I'll put the project back on my G-Tech or internal HD when I need to lay it off.
Conclusion: Projects on an external USB raid with a mojo hooked up to the correct firewire conflicts somehow when in digitize mode.
