Hi Everyone,
(This is my fist entry)
I'm working on a 30i NTSC Project in Media Composer v3.1.2 and i'd like to export a 24fps TIFF sequence of a 30" tv ad.
When i chose to Export the video as Graphic… it didn't give me any option about framerate… am i being a fool? because maybe what really matters is how they gonna import this file… not how i export it… (the main objective is to transfer the video to film).
Please somebody help me with this one…
Thanks in advance!
You have opened a can of worms here. First off, there is no "frame rate" to a TIFF sequence as it is just a bunch of pictures.
That aside, if you intend the folks on the other end to bring in 24 FPS, then you need to create a 24FPS sequence first. You can't just take a 30i sequence and throw out frames to make it 24 with good results.
Why do you want a 24FPS sequence anyway?

Hi TCurren,
The main objective is to transfer video to film… we also sent a betacam tape… the TIFF Sequence would be an second option…
If the source is 30 frames, you have to do a conversion. The best conversion can be done using a Terranex.
If you have MC 4.0, you can open your 30 frame timeline in a 24 frame project. You would have to recapture your media (assuming 24 frame source material). This would be the best way to approach it.
