Am trying to export my sequence as an mpeg file, but a window appears with the message: "process failed, go to the console", and the console has this messgae:  "could not initialize  authorscript".

This was a pretty common problem, and you had to delete some dll files to fix it.  Have a look through these search results for "authorscript" and see if something in there helps you out.
