I'm really struggling with a matter. I've just installed MC 4.0.2 on my xw8600 Workstation (4GB ram), added Unity 5.1.3 Client (4.1.6 Server version), QT 7.6.2, & made sure that the nVidia FX 3700 graphics card has the proper driver, 182.65.

PROBLEMs: At startup: Unity connection literally takes 5 minutes to connect.

#2 MC 4 takes 30 seconds to 1 minute to load and the response time after that is poor

#3 MC error msg: "Full screen playback is not supported on this system. For a list of supported graphics cards, please see www.avid.com/support"

What do I have to do to correct this mess (outside of going back to XP)?

I have just discovered the answers to my problems 1 & 2 thru the AVID knowledgebase (Surprise!)

I need an Intel Pro 1000 PT copper card. The Systemboard NIC connections are not approved thru AVID. This is obviously slowing down my Unity connection and the application itself.

On to issue #3 please....................

Is Vista 64 compatible or approved for Unity 4.1.6?

I thought XP SP 2 was the last approved OS for that version and anything higher would require either 4.2.3 or 5.

FSP Should be supported with that config. Was the OS installation a clean install a upgrade from a previous installation?

Yes as long as you load Unity Client version 5.1.3 on your workstation.

Again, I have verified that the first two questions of this post are solved.

Now the third question has been resolved as well. The answer to that question was to load the 64 bit driver.
