hello everyone.
i just started working on a project shot in xdcam. its a documentry and for some of the shots they used two cameras. the sound was recorded on an external card. they had problems with the timecode generator so all the clips have different timecode.
i imported the clips using the AMA and downconverted to 15:1 sd.
first thing i did was to open a seq and sync all the sound (which also had a different timecode..) now i have few seq's that are well synced. what is the best way to make the groups (i can load the other camera on Video 2 and make subclips but then its a seq which is not so good.) anybody knows?
thanks alot and hope someone can help.
cheers
Normally you use autosync to create you clips with audio and video married. This creates subclips. Then you would take those subclips and group them into a multigroup.
As far as I know there is no way of grouping grouped clips.

thanks for your quick respond.
the clips that r on the timeline r not grouped yet they r just synced to the sound (i didnt use the autosync) i need 2 know is there a way to make a groups from the timeline (i know how 2 do it from a bin) i think a mach frame is needed, but i dont know the worflow.
thanks again.
Only master clips and subclips can be grouped. What you may need to do is export a QT ref of your sequences, reimport so you have clips instead of sequences.
try to hilight the seq with the correct syncs and press the autosync button. this will create a sublip of the seq, just like it was a masterclip.
duplicate the "master" seq first!
thank u everyone for your help.
i will try it and see what happens.
