    DISK_INVALID_FILENAME_SYNTAX

Currently using AMA during logging of about 20 hours of footage, divided on about 50 P2 card folders on a Raid5 setup. Very often i get the error: "Exception: DISK_INVALID_FILENAME_SYNTAX, filename:E:\Avid Projects\DeFredlose720p50\DeFredlv?se.wrt". Anyone got a clue what this could mean? I've looke through all the folders to make sure i don't have any characters that won't work with Avid, but i still get this error.

Also often when adding a new AMA folder the clips start to populate, but the folder never shows up in Avid, the superbin names if self: "DeFredlv?se".

Running MC 4.0.2, HP XW8200 Avid certified with Mojo SDI. No files imported to a Avid Mediafiles folder yet.

    EDIT:

I also get this message a lot when this "DeFredlv?se" superbin tries to populate

    Re: DISK_INVALID_FILENAME_SYNTAX

A .wrt file is the copy of the bin stored in RAM when a bin is saved.

What is the actual name of the bin? Is this the same name of the P2 folder? Does it have a non-standard character like a /? Try renaming the bin and the P2 folder. Create a new bin and copy the clips from the old bin to the new bin.

Rename and/or move and delete the Attic folder. There could be an issue with the copy of the bin in the attic.

    Re: DISK_INVALID_FILENAME_SYNTAX

The case is that there's no bin called DeFredlv?se.wrt. I suspect someone at an earlier stage in this project had a bin called "defredløse" and the v? being how Avid interprets a Norwegian character. But at the moment there's no bins that have non standard characters in their bin names.

I noticed though that when i use "Link to ama" sometimes the files show up in a Superbin called "DeFredlv?se", but there's no visible bin with that name on it.

Some P2 ama folders see clips go offline and then they display "Virtual (H:\DeFredlose\RÅMATERIALE\09.02.12\Hardald's gym2)" as drive. The right drive would be "AMA (E:\DeFredlose\RAAMATERIALE\09.02.12\Hardald's gym2)", when i choose to Link to AMA everything works fine until I restart Avid, then all the clips show up offline and with the Virtual H as drive. At the moment manual relink at each start is the only option, no time to import and log all the clips over again.

At the moment of about 30 hours footage in about 10 bins, some times only a few clips, seem to have trouble finding the P2 ama folder. What's even more strange is if there's one clip offline the MXF file for that clip are present in the right P2 folder, seems like the AMA function manage to ignore certain clips.

    EDIT:

Also the first Syntax error prevents MC from being closed the proper way, have to use task manager and force it to close.
