    Selected area coloured

    Hello all,

I was wondering if there is a (easy) way to select a part of a shot to be coloured and the rest of the

shot to be black and white?

    Thanks for your input!

Can you be more specific  - how do you mean a selected part of the shot  - is it selected by area, (shape)  or by colour or by brightness?  It would be done differently for each one.

    @ Juris

Thanks for your question...it would by area / shape. One person is talking and I would like him to  be coloured, where the surrounding will be b/w!

That's easier. Copy the shot and place it on the next video layer above. Use the color correction effect on the lower shot to remove all the chroma. Now place the animatte effect (found in keys) on the upper shot. Draw your shape and you will now have the colored section over the B&W section. You can soften edges, invert the key, etc. until you get what you want.
