Hi, I have a question about taking a current project and consolidating the media to a drive so the project can be opened up on a symphony system - and laid to Digibeta.
What is the best way to do that - through export? or consolidate the media and copy the project? - and if i do an export will it copy the project so it can open?
Thank you!
Hi,
If you've just got one sequence you need to lay off, I'd make a copy of the sequence, put it in its own bin, and consolidate the sequence to an external drive. Next, I'd copy the project folder to the same external drive, then go to the other system, open it up, and lay it off.
good luck,Carl

Thank you Carl, do I just use the consolidate media under the menu and Presto! add hadles and that's it?
then copy the project folder correct?
Thanks!
Yup, presto pretty much sums it up. I'd duplicate the sequence, put it in a new bin, and then right click on it and select consolidate from the pop-up menu. If all you're doing with the consolidated sequence on the other system is laying it off, you don't even need to add handles.
